The preparations for the 2nd Annual Midwest Bellydance Challenge
sponsored by Shimmy Chicago LLC are well underway and I'm so excited
about this year's competition! I'm delighted to announce that ALL
CATEGORIES have met the minimum registration and will run.

Dancers from IL, WI, MO, MI, IA, MN, NE, OH, and NJ have registered!
Registration remains open through July 15th at shimmychicago.com for
those still wishing to join the fun!

Entered so far:
Student Soloist-- 5 contestants ($250 dance scholarship and trophies)
Tribal Soloist-- 8 contestants ($250 cash prize, sash and trophies)
Troupe-- 5 troupes (trophies for all troupe members)
Pro Cabaret Soloist-- 14 contestants ($500 cash prize, sash, tiara,and
trophies)

The troupe, student soloist, tribal soloist events and pro cabaret
soloist (preliminary round) will be held Saturday August 23rd from
10:00am-5:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran School in Elmhurst, IL. Advance price
admission at shimmychicago.com is only $10 ($15 at the door) for a FULL DAY of
great dance performances and shopping!! Come cheer on your favorites and vote
for the People's Choice Awards!

The finals of the pro cabaret soloist category will be Saturday night
in an exciting show that will feature the winners of the student
soloist/troupe/tribal soloist and other guest artists. The Saturday
7:00pm show will be held at the Mario Parente (formerly Anderson
Theater) in Oakbrook Terrace. Advance price tickets are $20 online
($30 at the door) for this amazing evening of dance!
